If there's a glitch, you're an ostrich, you've got your head in the sand

I know some of Kristi's readers wanted this album posted, and since I'm not nearly as knowledgable, I thought I'd bribe ya...
Pretty Girls Make Graves

Pretty Girls Make Graves - The New Romance
That's right kids, come over to the dark side...

Anywho, here are some early Christmas present for ya:
Mew - The Zookeeper's Boy
Been on repeat for the past few days...
XTC - Dear God
Mellowdrone - Fashionably Uninvited
Patrick Park - Something Pretty
The Album Leaf - Eastern Glow

Happy belated Thanksgiving to any Americans who drop by. Better late than never.
I'm off to procrastinate...

P.S. Nobody comments anymore. Is anyone still reading this thing?

I Can't Believe Life's So Complex...

For those of you who enjoyed the Mysterious Skin soundtrack, my dear friend Caleb has sent me a lovely album containing the works of Erik Satie. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous.
Erik Satie

Jay & Silent Bob Soundtrack
And just because I'm a nerd and watched Clerks last night, here a little something from the View Askewniverse. I don't have the Clerks Soundtrack, but I've provided a worthy substitute. I'm aware that about half are movie clips, but they're good ones nonetheless. Contrasts enough with the Satie, don't you think?

1. Interlude Cue Music
2. Jay's Rap
3. Stroke 9 - Kick Some Ass
4. Holden on Affleck
5. Dave Pirner - Tube of Wonderful
6. Cyber Savvy
7. Minibar - Choked Up
8. Doobie Snacks
9. Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride
10. Jay & Justice
11. Bon Jovi - Bad Medicine
12. Stealing Monkeys
13. PJ Harvey - This is Love
14. Advice From Above
15. Marcy Playground - The Devil's Song
16. Idiots vs. the Internet
17. Run DMC - Tougher Than Leather
18. Willenholly's Woe
19. Bob Schneider - Bullets
20. Touching a Brother's Heart
21. Thomas Rusiak - Hiphopper
22. Two Thumbs Up
23. Bloodhound Gang - Jackass
24. A Smooth Pimp and a Man-Servant
25. Morris Day and the Time - Jungle Love
26. NWP
27. Afroman - Because I Got High
What the fuck is the Internet??

Oasis - Fade In/Out
Here's something that you may or may not know about this tune(I know I was ecstatic to find this out). That's your favourite and mine Johnny Depp that you hear at the beginning and he plays slide guitar(!)for this track and this track alone. Golden!

Keep sending me stuff...Until later!

She up and died in a fit of vanity

Ok, things seem to be going well, so keep the requests coming because I work much better with feedback. Drop me a line at lostonpurpose@gmail.com

This album is specifically for my friend Jordan, living up there in Windsor. VAST has been one of my absolute favourites for awhile, so here is Visual Audio Sensory Theater for you to listen and love.

Since I'm on a constant Canadian music kick, here's one of my favourites from contemporary grunge rockers the Tangiers. To me, they sound like if the Buzzcocks and Richard Hell got into a car crash.
Tangiers - Keep the Living Bodies Warm

Sunny Day Real Estate - Roses in Water
Ok, here's my rediculously old throwback of the week. Sunny Day Real Estate's album How It Feels to Be Something On was dropped all the way back in 1998 and I was really into it a few years back. This song popped up on my Ipod the other day and I've been listening to it ever since. Share in my nostalgia.

Ok, show's over people, tune in next week.

The District Sleeps Alone Tonight...

To answer an anonymous question, I'm not a huge fan of posting full albums, because I know you're extremely unlikely to purchase them if I do. I will do it occasionally, but I don't want to get into the habit.

It's been a very busy weekend and I've been neglecting my posting. Please don't shun me.

Gentleman Reg is a band based out of Toronto and it seems I'm hearing about them everywhere I go lately. Curiosity finally got the better of me, so I got me a hold of Darby and Joan, their latest release, and I absolutely love it. Here are my favourites.
Gentleman Reg - First Time Everything
Gentleman Reg - It's Not Safe
Gentleman Reg - The Boyfriend Song

Another Canadian band getting a lot of buzz lately is The Populars. I havn't been able to locate their album yet, but a few songs are available on their site, so here's a sample.
The Populars - Hurry Up and Die
The Populars - Shadow That You Cast
The Populars - Away From It All

I'll try not be so neglegent, I'm a bad poster. I hope this redeems me.
